Hours Required: 20 hours (per 2 year renewal cycle)
Online Hours Accepted: 5 hours per renewal cycle – No more than 25% of the total hours (currently 5 hours per renewal cycle)
Renewal Period: Biennial, renew June 30 odd-numbered years
“Business courses specifically excluded; maximum 10 hours credit per day. Four (4) hours of CEU may be obtained by taking a CPR course through the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association. From Board rules — By electronic participation in accordance with (e) below, including but not limited to, on-line participation and live video-conferencing, provided that:
a. The hours of electronic participation shall constitute no more than 25 percent of the total hours of required continuing education; or
b. The renewal applicant’s proven disability requires the applicant to fulfill the continuing education requirement entirely by electronic participation.
(e) To be eligible for continuing education credit, electronic course participation shall include receipt of a score or grade of 80% or higher.”
